Warsash is a small village located in the county of Hampshire, England. It is situated on the south coast of England, facing the Solent and the Isle of Wight, and is part of the City of Southampton. The name Warsash is thought to derive from the Old English name ‘wara', meaning ‘watch tower', and ‘sæsc' meaning ‘promontory', suggesting that the area was used as a lookout point in the past. The village has a long and varied history, with evidence of occupation from the Iron Age and Roman times, as well as from the Anglo-Saxon period.

Warsash is home to a variety of attractions and activities. The village is a popular destination for sailing, with the Solent offering some of the best sailing in the UK. The town is home to the Warsash Sailing Club, which was founded in 1894 and is now one of the most successful sailing clubs in the country. It is also home to the Warsash Maritime Academy, which is part of Southampton Solent University and provides courses in maritime studies, including navigation and marine engineering.

The village is also home to a number of historic landmarks, including St Mary's Church, which dates back to the 13th century. The church is the oldest building in Warsash and is renowned for its original features, such as a Norman font, carved pews and stained glass windows. The village also has several other listed buildings, such as the Manor House, which dates back to the 16th century, and the Manor House Cottage, which is a grade II listed building.
