Things to see and do near Bembridge Approaches

  • Beach Visit – Bembridge Beach is a wide sandy beach with plenty of rock pools and views out to the Isle of Wight. A great spot for a day out and beach activities, as well as a good spot for fishing, swimming and sunbathing.
  • Bembridge Windmill – Built in 1820, Bembridge Windmill is a unique attraction and a great spot to learn all about the area's history. Climb up to the top of the windmill and admire the views across the island, or explore the museum and garden.
  • Bembridge Coast Path – A great way to explore the area is to take a walk along the Bembridge Coast Path. The path is about 3 miles and takes in some stunning views of the sea, as well as the nearby islands.
  • Bembridge Lifeboat Museum – The Bembridge Lifeboat Museum is an interesting museum and a great spot to learn about the area's maritime history.
  • St Helens Fort – St Helens Fort is an interesting historical attraction and a great spot to explore. Learn about the history of the area and walk around the fort.
  • Whitecliff Bay – Whitecliff Bay is a beautiful bay with golden sandy beaches and plenty of rock pools to explore. It's a great spot for swimming, beach activities and exploring the coast.
  • Bembridge Harbour – A great spot to explore the coast and take in some stunning views. Watch the boats coming and going and admire the views across the harbor.
  • Bembridge Heritage Centre – The Bembridge Heritage Centre is a great spot to get an insight into the history of the area. Learn about the local history and explore the museum.
  • Bembridge Sailing Club – For an activity packed day out, head to Bembridge Sailing Club to enjoy some sailing, windsurfing and kayaking.
  • Isle of Wight Steam Railway – A great way to explore the Isle of Wight is to take a train ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Admire the views across the island as you travel through the countryside.
  • Isle of Wight Zoo – The Isle of Wight Zoo is a great spot to learn about and see some of the local wildlife.
  • Shanklin Chine – Shanklin Chine is a beautiful, lush ravine with a stream running through it. It's a great spot for a walk, with plenty of wildlife and stunning views.
  • Sandown Pier – Sandown Pier is a great spot for a spot of fishing, and a great place to take a walk.
  • Culver Down – Culver Down is a great spot for a walk and some stunning views across the island.
  • Alum Bay – Alum Bay is a great spot for a day out, with its stunning views and golden beaches. Take a boat trip out to the Needles and explore the area.
